1. What is the purpose of your poem? What mood, message or point are you trying to make? the purpose of my poem was the get across the the character, Caitlyn, as alot the deal with at the moment, such as her friend,Bill (who is a girl) is an achoholic. Her dad drinks and is depressed because his wife (her mom) died 10 years ago. and her friend Jamie tried to rape her. As well she just saw a guy walking down the street that she's now in love with. She is stressed out and needs a break from life.

2. What did you do to create this purpose? Discuss your word choice and your decision on the size of particular words in comparison to other words.

Blog 7-Significant Charateristics- Chosen to Die

It is really hard to pick just two in this book because were are so many significant characteristics in this book, (just like the last one). But if I had to pick two...

"The Jeep shuddered and she realized what was happening. In the middle of the friggin' blizzard someone was taking potshots at her vechicle."

To understand why this is significant I have to give a little back story, Regan Pescoli is a detective and has been working on the "star crossed killer" case for 2 months. She is driving to pick up her children from their father when her car spins out of control and she realizes this isn't just bad weather, this is the work of the Star crossed killer.

This qoute is significant to the story because this is the moment when she realizes that she isn't the dectective, she's the victim.And she shortly going to encounter the star crossed killer herself, whom she's been look for, for the past 2 months.This is really where the plot begins and it pulls you in to read more.



" 'Long!' I yell and his eyes fly open. In a split second he recognizes me and forgets about the song. 'What the hell?' but he knows, he starts to move from the chair. Too late! I pull the trigger"

For the whole story the reader has learned the way the star crossed killer kills women, ( and only women). He is an organized killer and kills the women for a purpose and does it the exact same way each time. But this is a turning point in the plot when we realize this killer has more then just a problem with women. Which makes this significant to the story. It endeers the reader and makes them want to know why the killer, killed Brady Long...
